Video Work

We came up with this concept after a reporter wrote a story comparing the SC senate race to a cheetah chase. I wanted to use driving music and the VCR / 80’s nature doc vibe came together after that. I handled the edit and graphics as well as the initial concept.

For this video my main role was art director, I also wrote a draft of the script and did the illustrations. I worked with a talented team as well including a copywriter and animator who did a great job helping bring my vision to the screen and more importantly making the client happy.

I helped art direct this video for VASA Fitness. Spent a lot of time coming up with the look and feel to sell the new high end offering. Personally oversaw music and motion graphics as well as consultation on set during filming.

I was tasked with making an engaging and encompassing highlight reel for Epic Marketing. After initial edits I decided to shoot some more pickups to help bridge some gaps and made several fun motion sequences and transitions.

I was the art director for this video and managed a team of freelance editors and motion designers. The goal was to show how volunteers can take action during the pandemic and to inspire newcomers by illustrating what the organization had accomplished previously.

I worked with the creative director at an agency in DC who had an idea to use this stock footage in an interesting way. Par for the course in the political world we churned this out in less than 2 hours start to finish. This video racked up over 100k views on a single Friday night so it did the trick. I handled music, graphics, and the edit.

One of my favorite bands was in need of a music video so I went digging and sourced some great free use footage from around the wild depths of the internet to come up with this trippy…. trip.

I shot several of these on-location video tours for VASA Fitness, with the end goal always being high energy, fun, and to really show off the beautiful facilities. I would usually do these with one assistant in a day and a half and I handled all of the shooting, drone, direction, scheduling, editing, and whatever else necessary from start to finish.

I was actually really excited to shoot this video. The director of the Utah Renaissance Faire asked me to put together an overview video for their new website. My research included turkey legs and jousting. Shot over one full day of renaissancing.

When VASA Fitness wanted to get the story out about their female founder who started with a single aerobics class I immediately started getting ideas. I shot new footage to edit in with the great archival footage from her classes and put together this fun little explainer.
